A Little Information About Anima Pipes
Anima handmade pipes was conceived as a labour of love.
A love for pipes, the natural world, and a need to return to the "simple
things" in life. Anima pipes and tampers are created by hand utilizing
natural, organic elements which take on beautiful flowing forms. All Anima
pipes are carved by pipe maker Brian McNulty in California.
Anima pipes are distinguished by their rare bit logos of pipe stone, also
known as "Catlinite" and their matching and accompanying tampers.
Anima Pipes each come with a handmade (nomenclature stamped to match) tamper
which exactly matches the pipe, adding a touch of class to each piece. The
briars used are from many regions, but all are made sure to be well aged
and cured and only the finest and highest grade (extra extra plateaux) is
used. The finishes include carved/rusticated, sandblasted and smooth. Once
a year a collectible set, "Wakan",
is offered which includes a matching pipe, tamper and knife, which all have
sterling silver logos.
Subtle nuances of various stones, horn, briar inlay, bamboo and unique bits
add to the asthetic quality and attention to fine detail of Anima Pipes.
These are all hand made, one-of-a-kind pieces. No two pipes are ever alike.
Most of the pipe shapes are based in traditional styles, accentuated by
free flowing forms and artistic stylings, whatever the briar dictates. Rare
and unique hand shaped briar tampers in various forms as well as the original
and extremely unique "Horn" tampers (Made from white tail deer
and/or elk antler) usually with accented briar/stone inlay are created to
accompany certain pipes, yet are also available on an individual basis.
All pieces come with pipe and tamper bags.
